We work with small and medium rural industralists to whom technical assistance is provided to produce under the principles of Good Agricultural Practices (BPA's), Good Practices of Manufacture (BPM's) and Good Enterprise Practices (BPE's), to ensure the quality of the fruit and vegetable production, as well as the certification under the new GLOBALG.A.P. norm promoting the culture of equitable commerce.

Through the Quality Assurance and Development of Small Companies we have developed important activities like: Completing the processes of certification under GLOBALG.A.P. protocol

AGILE Foundation is ¨Hosting¨ in the formulation and accomplishment of Guía de Interpretació n for Guatemala by the Technical Working Group GLOBALG.A.P. that allows the official approval by Germany's FoodPLUS in order to become mandatory from the 14 of September of the present year and it maintains its use until the 31 of December of year 2011, which means that all organism of certification that operates in Guatemala, will have to use the present Guide for the accomplishment of its external audit activities.

AGIL actively participates actively participates in the assembly and development of the agricultural and commercial encounters of Cobán, and Huehuetenango, as well as the organization of the second AGRIFEST, that takes place in CEDER Chimaltenango, activity that is considered the most important Agricultural Convention of GLOBALG.A.P certified producers in Guatemala.

One of the most innovative activities in the program has been the implementation of the eduCAMPO program, that educates children in elementary and middle school on good agricultural practices, through demostrative field days, where the parents who have previously received formation by AGIL are the trainers.

We are responsible for the creation of ¨The farmer's passport¨, which is left in the hands of certified producers and will become an ID that will enable them to negociate their product's positioning. This becomes a powerful negotiation tool.
